Round table

This article reports on three round tables held simultaneously during an Orthodox gathering. It is an account of collegial debates bringing together theologians, clergy, academics and healthcare professionals. The first round table examines the expectations raised by the future 2016 Pan-Orthodox Council, highlighting the lack of information among the faithful and the low awareness of its importance. The second confronts contemporary psychology with the thought of the Church Fathers. The third addresses current ethical questions, emphasizing the need not to sacralize life at the expense of the person and the urgency of ethical training for pastors and the faithful. The contribution of these exchanges lies in the dialogue between theological, pastoral and scientific perspectives in the face of the contemporary challenges confronting the Orthodox Church.
