Workshops

The proceedings of the approximately twenty workshops held during an Orthodox gathering in Western Europe are here compiled and published in the form of reports. This compilation reflects the diversity of exchanges among Orthodox participants confronted with the realities of Christian life in a Western context. The approach is deliberately pluralistic: each workshop addresses a distinct area in which the witness of the Orthodox Church is situated, whether pastoral, cultural, social, or ecclesiological in nature. The central idea is that Orthodoxy in Western Europe must articulate its tradition in relation to the contemporary challenges specific to this environment. The contribution of these reports is primarily documentary and ecclesiological: they constitute a valuable source for understanding the state of concerns and reflections of diasporic Orthodox communities at a given moment in their history in the West.
