IX. Conclusion

This article constitutes the concluding chapter of a social ethics document developed within a collective Orthodox theological framework. Belonging to the genre of the commented doctrinal declaration, it presents a synthesis of the foundations and limits of the project. The central idea is that the social ethos of the Orthodox Church cannot be reduced to a set of ethical prescriptions: it is rooted in sacramental and liturgical life, understood as an anticipation of the divine Kingdom, according to the Dionysian tradition of the celestial hierarchy. The chapter also addresses the question of the place of religion in the public sphere, criticizing forms of coercive secularism that reduce religious conscience to the private sphere, while affirming the fundamental freedom of every person. The theological contribution lies in the articulation between eschatology, liturgy and social engagement, situating Orthodox ethics within a transfigurative vision of the world in the light of the Kingdom.
