This article examines the relationship between Christ and the Holy Spirit in contemporary Orthodox theology, drawing on the contributions of theologians such as Dumitru Stăniloae, Boris Bobrinskoy, Jean Zizioulas, Dumitru Popescu and Justin Popovitch. The study, arising from a paper delivered in 2007, adopts a systematic approach structured around four areas: the intratrinitarian relationship between the Son and the Spirit, their cooperation in the act of creation, their joint work in objective and subjective salvation, and their common presence in the Church and the sacraments. The central idea is that Christology and pneumatology are organically inseparable and can only be understood in mutual reference to each other. The article shows that neopatristic Orthodox theology, by overcoming the dichotomies inherited from scholasticism, offers a coherent Trinitarian vision in which the two economies — of the Son and of the Spirit — are simultaneous, complementary and eschatologically oriented toward the deification of humanity and the cosmos.
