Dogma and mysticismThis article by Constantin Andronikof examines the relationship between dogma and mysticism in the Orthodox theological tradition. Written from a paper presented at an interreligious gathering, it adopts both a speculative and synthetic approach, articulating anthropology, epistemology, and spiritual theology. The central idea is that dogma and mysticism are not opposed but mutually conditioning: dogma, far from being an abstract constraint, functions as a "map" orienting spiritual vision, while mysticism enlivens and experiences what dogma formulates. Andronikof shows that this complementarity is rooted in the tripartite structure of the human being and in the dynamics of revelation received by the Church. The theological contribution of the article lies in its demonstration that the Eucharistic liturgy constitutes the preeminent place where dogma and mysticism converge in a living and operative synthesis.
