This article examines the presence and development of Romanian Orthodox communities established in France. Through a descriptive and analytical study, the author provides an overview of these communities, focusing on their ecclesial organization, geographical distribution, and their liturgical and pastoral life. The main idea is that these communities constitute a significant religious and diasporic phenomenon, shaped by successive waves of Romanian immigration to France. The article sheds valuable light on the way in which the Romanian Orthodox Church structures its presence outside its historical borders, maintaining a strong confessional and cultural identity in a Western context. This contribution enriches theological and ecclesiological reflection on the Orthodox diaspora in Europe, by offering concrete data on a community whose visibility has increased considerably in recent decades.
