The evolution of Orthodoxy in France from 2010 to 2024 according to data from the AÉOF yearbookThis article presents a statistical study of the evolution of the Orthodox presence in France between 2010 and 2024. Drawing on a quantitative analysis of available data, the author examines the structural transformations of the Orthodox Church on French territory during this period. The study highlights a significant increase in the number of places of worship, monasteries and clergy members, growth primarily attributable to Romanian immigration following Romania's integration into the European Union in 2007. The article also identifies the major challenges facing French Orthodoxy, notably the question of its progressive Frenchification and the need to overcome the ecclesiological tensions dividing its various jurisdictions. This contribution offers a documented overview of the Orthodox establishment in France and its prospects for development.
