Mère Mariam

This article offers the spiritual testimony of Mother Mariam, a Lebanese nun, about her personal experience of the action of the Holy Spirit. Through a first-person narrative, the author recounts how she perceived and received an inner word that she attributes to the Holy Spirit, conveyed through a human voice. The central idea is that the Holy Spirit acts concretely in the lives of believers, manifesting through human mediations and ordinary circumstances. On a theological level, this testimony illustrates the Orthodox doctrine of the active and personal presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the faithful, while situating itself within the pneumatological tradition of the Eastern Church. It also sheds light on contemporary spiritual life in Lebanon, grounding theological reflection in a precise geographical and ecclesial context.
