This article examines the contemporary theological issues of the Nicene Creed, on the occasion of the seventeenth centenary of the Council. Michel Fédou offers an analytical and annotated study of the first three propositions of the Creed, focusing particularly on their doctrinal significance for the knowledge of God. The author analyzes the term homoousios — translated as "consubstantial" — introduced by the Council of Nicaea in 325, restoring the reasons for its adoption and the theological precision it brings to the trinitarian confession of faith. The article defends a balanced reading of the mystery of the Trinity, rooted in the thought of the conciliar Fathers.
