This article examines the eschatological dimension of Paul Evdokimov's theology and its potential for dialogue with contemporary Roman Catholic theology. Peter C. Phan adopts a comparative and systematic approach, structured around three areas: liberation theologies, interreligious dialogue, and the eschata. The central idea is that an eschatology understood not as speculation about the last ends, but as a hermeneutic of history and culture in the light of the Kingdom of God, constitutes a decisive contribution beyond the Orthodox sphere alone. The article shows that Evdokimov offers a corrective to the horizontalism of certain liberation theologies, an alternative to the doctrinal rigidity of Dominus Iesus through the apophatic method, and notable convergences with Rahner and Balthasar on eschatological questions. The main contribution lies in demonstrating that Evdokimovian eschatology can enrich and rebalance several major areas of contemporary Catholic theology.
