Bible, archaeology and theology. How does archaeology shed light on biblical narratives?This article by Orthodox biblical scholar Stefan Munteanu examines the relationships between archaeology, biblical narratives, and theology. Through an analytical study based on three concrete examples drawn from excavations in the Holy Land, the author questions the relevance and limits of a systematic reconciliation between archaeological data and scriptural texts.
