The experience of ecumenical dialogue for Orthodoxy in France

This article examines the engagement of Orthodox Christians in the ecumenical movement in France, drawing on the concrete experience of interconfessional dialogue as it has developed in this particular context. Through an analytical study, Julia Naett Vidovic investigates the way in which Orthodox participation in ecumenical dialogue has shaped the identity and presence of Orthodoxy on French soil. The central idea is that this dialogical experience constitutes both a challenge and an opportunity for Orthodox communities, leading them to clarify their own ecclesiology in relation to other Christian traditions.
