Ten chapters on Father Dumitru Stăniloae

This article offers a theological meditation in ten chapters devoted to the work of Father Dumitru Stăniloae, a Romanian Orthodox theologian, on the occasion of his ninetieth birthday. Written by the young theologian Radu Preda, the text adopts a form inspired by the patristic "capita" to explore the main lines of Stăniloaean thought. The central idea is that the work of Father Stăniloae articulates a theology of the person, grounded in Trinitarian communion and the interpersonal dialogue between man and God, which unfolds into a theology of transparency and then into a theology of tears. The contribution of the article is to show how this thought roots Romanian Orthodox theology in the Patristic Tradition while endowing it with a universal apologetic and anthropological scope, capable of responding to the spiritual and cultural challenges of the contemporary world.
