Workshops

This article reports on the workshops and round tables held at a congress of the Orthodox Brotherhood in Western Europe, whose general theme was "Behold, I make all things new". In the form of summaries written by facilitators and participants, it covers fourteen workshops addressing theological, pastoral and ethical questions: prayer, parish life, liturgical chant, the catechesis of children, the Creed, witness in a secularized society, theological language, iconography, dialogue with the Oriental Orthodox Churches, bioethics, illness and death, the relationship between science and theology, human rights, and children's participation in the congress. The contribution of these texts lies in documenting the collective reflection of a diasporic Orthodox community confronted with the challenges of Western modernity, articulating patristic tradition and contemporary issues.
