This article constitutes a right of reply written by Michel Maxime Egger following a critical review of his work La Terre comme soi-même (Labor & Fides, 2012), published in the journal Contacts in 2012. Adopting an argumentative and corrective approach, the author refutes point by point the interpretations he considers erroneous or distorted representations of his thought. The central idea is that the review attributes to the work positions — naturalism, pantheism, absence of pneumatology, instrumentalization of Orthodoxy — that its actual content explicitly contradicts. On the theological level, Egger clarifies his patristic and Orthodox references, notably the theology of the uncreated energies of Gregory Palamas, the logoi of Maximus the Confessor, and the works of Kallistos Ware, in order to defend the legitimacy of a Christian ecospirituality open to interdisciplinary and interreligious dialogue, without confusion between the divine, the human, and the cosmic.
