Cet article examine le Saint et Grand Concile orthodoxe de Crète (2016), son contenu doctrinal et les conditions de sa réception au sein de l'Orthodoxie mondiale. Dimitar Arnaudov propose une étude analytique des textes conciliaires, mettant en évidence la cohérence ecclésiologique qui les traverse et en constitue le fil directeur. L'idée principale est que la dimension ecclésiologique, bien que rarement explicitée comme telle, structure l'ensemble des documents adoptés par le Concile. Sur le plan historique et théologique, l'article apporte un éclairage particulier sur la décision de l'Église orthodoxe bulgare de ne pas participer à ce Concile, en analysant les motifs et les implications de cette absence pour la réception conciliaire. La perspective d'un théologien laïc bulgare confère à cette contribution un point de vue engagé et situé sur un événement majeur de l'histoire orthodoxe contemporaine.

This article examines the Holy and Great Orthodox Council of Crete (2016), its doctrinal content and the conditions of its reception within world Orthodoxy. Dimitar Arnaudov offers an analytical study of the conciliar texts, highlighting the ecclesiological coherence that runs through them and constitutes their guiding thread. The main idea is that the ecclesiological dimension, although rarely made explicit as such, structures the entirety of the documents adopted by the Council. On the historical and theological level, the article sheds particular light on the decision of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church not to participate in this Council, analyzing the reasons and implications of this absence for conciliar reception. The perspective of a Bulgarian lay theologian gives this contribution an engaged and situated point of view on a major event in contemporary Orthodox history.
