Cet article examine le Saint et Grand Concile de l'Église orthodoxe, tenu en 2016, sous l'angle d'une analyse théologique et ecclésiologique critique. L'auteur adopte une approche évaluative, combinant réflexion historique et examen doctrinal. Il soutient que le processus de convocation et d'organisation du Concile présente une structure pyramidale sans précédent dans la tradition synodale orthodoxe, ce qui a compromis sa représentativité et, par conséquent, sa capacité à exprimer pleinement l'unité de l'Église orthodoxe dans son ensemble. L'article procède ensuite à une analyse méthodique des documents adoptés par le Concile, en identifiant leurs apports positifs ainsi que leurs insuffisances théologiques et ecclésiologiques. Sur le plan de l'apport scientifique, cette étude contribue au débat en cours sur la réception du Concile et sur les critères canoniques et théologiques qui définissent l'autorité et la légitimité d'une assemblée conciliaire dans l'orthodoxie contemporaine.

This article examines the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church, held in 2016, through the lens of critical theological and ecclesiological analysis. The author adopts an evaluative approach, combining historical reflection with doctrinal examination. He argues that the process of convening and organizing the Council presents a pyramidal structure unprecedented in the Orthodox synodal tradition, which compromised its representativeness and, consequently, its capacity to fully express the unity of the Orthodox Church as a whole. The article then proceeds to a methodical analysis of the documents adopted by the Council, identifying both their positive contributions and their theological and ecclesiological shortcomings. In terms of scholarly contribution, this study contributes to the ongoing debate on the reception of the Council and on the canonical and theological criteria that define the authority and legitimacy of a conciliar assembly in contemporary Orthodoxy.
